Internationally renowned energy scientist Scott Tinker brings industry and academia together in his riveting presentations of societal challenges in energy, the environment and the economy.
Dr. Tinker is the director of the Bureau of Economic Geology, the State Geologist of Texas and the Chair at the Jackson School of Geosciences at the University of Texas. He spent 17 years in the oil and gas industry prior to joining UT.
He has co-produced the award winning energy documentaries Switch and Switch On and co-hosts PBS’ Energy Switch. He’s presented more than 1000 speeches including a TEDx Talk and been featured in Fortune to Forbes.
Tinker founded and serves as the Chairman of the non-profit Switch Energy Alliance to inspire an energy educated future through films.
